Vehicle Description

Up for sale is a 1971 Dodge Dart Swinger. We had a friend that had told us about a gentleman that owned several vehicles and had passed away. So with his help we were able to purchase the 4 vehicles. Including this Dart. Dont know a lot of history about it but will tell you what I was told and what I see. Was originally a 6 cylinder car converted to V-8. It is a mid 70s, 360 V-8 with aluminum Holley Intake and Eldelbrock 4 BBL Carb. Has Headers with new mufflers on it and a new set of tail pipes which are in the trunk and need to be installed. Motor runs decent. I believe the transmission is a 904 with manual shift valve body. Shifts very positive. Rear end was replaced with a 8 1/4 that has a bit of a growl to it. May need to be addressed. Has drum brakes all the way around but one of the front ones is making a sound like the brake shoes are wet. I would say the shoes need replacing. The body on the car is fairly straight. There was a little bit of repair and touch up on the lower rear quarters. The underside of the car looks very solid. Trunk is solid. Interior appears to be original. One little seam starting to let loose on the headliner and front seat has tape on the seat bottom. Carpets look fairly new. All lights work. Chrome trim is all in good shape. Bumpers will need to be rechromed but are good solid cores. Glass is all good. Originally had AC. Looks like it is still plumbed but does not have compressor or hoses. Has a set of brand new deep dish anodized gold race star industries wheels, 17 inch with brand new rubber. This is a good start to a sought after muscle car. If you are handy and do the necessary repairs, it will do nothing but go up in value. We are listing it at a very reasonable price for what these cars are bringing. That will give you some room to go through the car and own it right. We have a Maine registration and all proper dealer transfer paperwork should you need a title in your state. We require a $500 non refundable deposit at end of sale and balance due 3 days there after. If you need time for a shipper we will store the car here for a reasonable amount of time. Any questions or concerns feel free to call us at 1-207-432-2862. Thanks Bob.
