Vehicle Description

Up for grabs is my 1970 Dodge Charger 500. It will make someone a great project. I would keep it if I could, but I recently lost my Uncle and inherited his 1970 Charger. I'm obviously more sentimentally attached to his Charger (even though it's going to require much more work). This Charger is a very solid car that I purchased in South Dakota. It was redone at one point in time. The paint is not perfect by any means. The front wrap is really solid. The doors are also nice. The floors are in good shape as well. It needs some work around the shifter since it was originally automatic. The frame rails are in great condition. The quarters have some filler in them (some bubbling is showing), but they can be saved (or replaced if desired). The trunk is solid but was patched in the past. I would just replace the trunk pan (to do it right) or you could do some patch work on it (it could be patched). The hood, roof, and trunk lid are nice. It has a decent grill (definitely above average). Overall, it's a solid car. It's one of the best ones I've had in regards to metal quality. It was partially torn down but was then put back together before I bought it. I planned to tear it back down and redo everything but had other projects ahead of it. Not much work would be required as far as body work goes. The windshield was removed prior to me purchasing the car since it was in the process of being redone. It was put back in for transport. The VIN tag was not reinstalled (couldn't find it at the time). I have the tag and new correct factory rivets that will be included. The VIN matches the title and everything else on the car as it should. The back glass was also removed but didn't get reinstalled. It is included and is sitting on the back seat. The car runs and drives pretty good but does need work. It's definitely loud though due to having open headers. A tune up and carburetor rebuild would help it run better. It has the good 4-speed transmission that shifts nicely. It has power steering and power brakes. The car originally had a 318 and automatic transmission. The 440 and 4-speed were a nice upgrade. It has the 8-3/4 rear end. It runs and drives pretty good. I planned to pull the engine and build it into something wild and crazy. I have too many projects and haven't had time to do much with it. Some of the fluids leak (it's not leaking - it's sweating horsepower). The previous owner put the graphics on the car. It was done just for fun. It was dubbed "Generally" or "Generally 0" just for fun. He was going to have a little fun with it before it was restored. He was a Dukes of Hazzard fan (which is why the graphics are similar). It's the wrong year for a General Lee (he was just having a little fun). That's when I bought it. I had other projects ahead of it and didn't have a chance to do much with it. There is a video of it on YouTube (search for Generally 0).I'm going to include a freshly powder coated k-frame that is almost perfect. It is about as close to looking like new as you can find. It's really straight for the age (most are beat up). This k-frame is from a 1970 Charger with a 440. For some reason, the k-frame in the car has a couple of cuts on it. I'm assuming that one of the previous owners was going to do some sort of pro-touring build or do a modern drivetrain swap. I was going to keep it with a built 440, so I decided to find another k-frame. Maybe the one in the car is fine, but i don't like taking chances. I'm also including the extra parts that are pictured. The Charger is mostly complete but is partially torn down. The parts that I have for it will be included.Contact me with questions or to check it out. Good luck with the bidding. The Charger is waiting for its new owner with a clear title (in my name) and keys. I'll hate to see it go.Someone will be getting a solid 1970 Charger that can be driven while restored (or easily stripped down and restored). Don't miss your chance to own this car.If shipping is necessary, I'll work with you if you can get arrangements made. I'll do whatever I can do to help out with getting it on its way to you.
