Vehicle Description

ATTENTION MOPAR FANS!This is a great example of a very rare and desirable investment grade classic car. It’s the mighty mouse of the scat pack! A 1969 Dodge Dart GTS 340 4 speed! If you are in the market for a GTS that stands head and shoulders above the rest you’d be hard pressed to find a better example than this one and it’s the bucket seat, console version everyone wants!Per Galen Govier white book Chrysler only built 1022 total 340 4 spd coupes in 1969. Total GTS coupe production was only 6285 and of that total only 3645 were 340 cars. How many of the 1022 4 spd cars that are left is anybody’s guess but the common belief is a 70% attrition rate which would leave about 30% (or 306 cars) left in the 340 4 spd combo. This is a nicely optioned example restored back faithfully to its original as sold condition per the fender tag. It is also nicely appointed with E55 340 engine, C16 console, C55 bucket seats, D21 4 speed manual transmission, J25 3 spd wipers, T5 copper paint, V1X black vinyl top, V88 stripe delete. It has just had a complete and thorough restoration of the entire body inside and out. This car came out of a long term hibernation that was indoors and not subject to the elements so there was very little rust to contend with. The floors, trunk, fenders and doors were rust free to start with. The only rust repair was a small metal patch at bottom of both rear quarters behind wheel were dirt had gathered between quarter and trunk extension. Both areas were cut out, cleaned pout and expertly repaired with new metal and are bullet proof now. Both front and rear windshield glasses were removed, channels were cleaned out, primed and painted. Neither had any rust issues. Front windshield and gasket are new. We cleaned and regreased the quarter glass and door glass regulators so they roll up and down real nice. The rear end and leaf springs were removed, blasted, primed and painted. The underside of car was cleaned, sprayed in 2 coats of black epoxy primer and then undercoated. Entire exhaust system is new including chrome tips.Engine is a standard bore ’69 340 with fully reworked X heads with all new valves, guides, springs, ect. Intake is an aftermarket Edelbrock with a new 750 Holly carb and headers. The transmission is a correct short tail shaft A body 23 spline A833 4 speed out of another ’69 dart. One drive and you will see why this little combination was such a powerful representative of the Scat pack and gave its big block brethren a run for their money!Interior is all new. Carpet, seat covers, headliner, door panels, etc. All dash bezels are new and dash frame was repainted. Original Hurst shifter with wood grain ball was rechromed. New redline tires on vintage slots.Cars like this don't come up for sale very often anymore. Don’t let this be the car you wish you had bought when you had the chance! Call 3///059///223//432
