Vehicle Description

Available for you to own is an INCREDIBLE example of one of the most iconic cars on the planet. This is my 1981 Delorean DMC-12. Vin #4227 (last 4-digits). It’s manual, original grey interior and at the time of writing this has less than 10k miles on the odometer. It starts up the first time, every time and drives very well. It has been meticulously cared for and is ready for its new, loving owner. If you are looking for a “turnkey” DeLorean that is READY-TO-GO, look no further. This car is in immaculate condition and in my opinion, is one of the finest examples you will find of this spectacular piece of automotive history. Location is currently near West Palm Beach, FL, but most of its life (over 40 years!) was spent in the dry, desert climate of New Mexico by one owner.

Why am I selling?

It has been an absolute pleasure owning this car, but I just don’t have the time to truly enjoy it. My plan was to take it to car shows and let folks admire this work-of-art, but I am just too busy with life/family. I take it out for a short drive most weekends (lots of waves, picture taking, attention and questions!) to keep everything fresh/active, then clean it afterwards before putting it back in my garage and covering it up.

What else comes with the car?

Hoverboard & Sports Almanac, plus replica Flux Capacitor that I was thinking about installing into the car.

Original light clusters

Delorean flag

Indoor/outdoor vehicle cover for storage.

Small tool kit in front storage area.

Complete DMC Original -3 ring Parts Catalog-All pages in plastic protective covers.

Complete DMC Original-372-page technical instruction repair manual-all pages in plastic protective covers.

3 ring binder with all issues of "De Gull Wing"-(DeLorean Club) monthly technical repair tips and tricks from the 1980s era, but still relevant today.

Uninstalled stainless seal coolant tank upgrade. I purchased this from DMC but have not had the time to install it yet.

Other miscellaneous original components – SEE IMAGE.

NOS/Nitrous: Ok, LOTS of questions about this, so I thought I’d add some more context here! As previously mentioned, this was professionally installed by the previous owner (who was a VERY talented mechanic/craftsman). The system is disconnected, does not interfere with day-to-day driving and can be removed if desired. It has NEVER been used/fired by either me or the previous installer/owner due to the uncertainty of potential engine damage. It truly is a work of art!

If you would like to come and see the car, please let me know. I’d be happy to accommodate a viewing for serious potential buyers. It is securely stored in my garage.

Feel free to ask any questions you may have, thank you, and good luck!
