Vehicle Details
This 1970 Nissan Laurel 2000GX is a right-hand-drive hardtop coupe that was acquired by the seller in 2020 and subsequently refurbished. Work included a repaint, re-chroming the bumpers, reupholstering the seats, rebuilding the Hitachi SU carburetors, overhauling the fuel system, and replacing the radiator, brake master cylinder, transmission cooler, belts, and hoses.
The car is finished in yellow over a black interior, and power is provided by a 2.0-liter SOHC inline-four mated with a four-speed automatic transmission. Modifications include an electric water pump, fan, and fuel pump. This C30 Laurel is now offered with a clean Florida title.
The body is finished in yellow and was repainted during current ownership, and other exterior work included repairing rust on the hood and re-chroming the bumpers. The car is equipped with quad headlights, fender-mounted mirrors, and sequential rear turn signals. One headlight is darker than the other three, and photos of the tail panel and bumpers before reinstallation are provided in the gallery below.
The 14″ steel wheels are fitted with covers and 185/75 Hankook whitewall tires.
Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums, and the 2000GX was equipped with front struts and semi-trailing arm rear suspension.
The brake master cylinder and shoes were reportedly replaced under current ownership.
The right-hand-drive cabin is equipped with individual front seats and a rear bench that were reupholstered in black vinyl and cloth during the refurbishment. Wood-look trim adorns the dashboard and console, and other interior features include a radio, front lap belts, and aftermarket toggle switches. The seller states that the air conditioning compressor is missing and cracks are visible on the dashboard.
The wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel fronts a central 190-km/h speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The odometer shows 2,800 kilometers, and total mileage is unknown.
The 2.0-liter G20 SOHC inline-four features dual Hitachi SU carburetors that were rebuilt under current ownership. An electric fuel pump, cooling fan, and water pump were also installed, and other work included overhauling the fuel system and replacing the radiator, battery, belts, hoses, and various fluids.
