1972 Citroen Mehari

Vehicle Description
1972 Citroën Méhari – Fully Restored, Galvanized Chassis, 55 KM since build
We’re proud to offer this fully restored Citroën Méhari, showing just 55 kilometers since completion. This Méhari was imported to the U.S. by the previous seller in 2020, and it now carries a clean Washington State title.
Restoration was carried out by 2CV Garage Sander Aalderink, Méhari and 2CV specialists in the Netherlands. This was a ground-up restoration using all new parts.
Highlights of the Restoration:
New factory galvanized chassis and subframe
Complete new ABS body shell
Rebuilt Burton 602cc high-compression engine with dual-barrel carburetor
"123 Ignition" electronic ignition system
New disc brakes (front), drum brakes (rear), stainless steel brake lines
All-new suspension, drivetrain, and exhaust system
New convertible soft top with new door and roof frames
New interior – including seats, carpets, and dash trim
New wheels, new tires, new windshield and frame
New starter, alternator, clutch kit, battery, and electrical system throughout
In April 2025, we performed an oil and filter service, along with a full carburetor reseal and adjustment—less than 15 kilometers ago.
With its galvanized chassis, upgraded drivetrain, and durable ABS body, this is one of the most usable and reliable Méharis you’ll find—perfect for weekend fun, coastal cruising, or vintage rallies. Parts are easy to find and inexpensive, and its simple mechanicals make ownership a joy. Available for viewing/ inspections by appointment.
