1978 Chrysler Newport

Vehicle Description

This is an all original 1978 Chrysler Newport. This car has been family owned since its purchase. My grandfather purchased this car and had it delivered to the house in 78. The car was built for towing. It has the big block 440 motor coupled to a 727 torqueflite transmission. The car runs and shifts great. I change the oil and give it a tune up every year and run it every few months. Garage kept. This car would make a great rebuild project, or for those of you looking to rebuild a motor and transmission to drop it in something else.
I do not have the time or money that this car needs. I'd rather see it go to somebody who will use and appreciate it than see it sit.

Interior is all original and in great shape.
Tow Package
Load leveling rear shocks: currently don't work (Runs from a compressor in engine compartment to a holding tank in rear of car)
A/C & Heat blower motor needs fixed
Vinyl top is dried and peeled (Can buy pre-cut padded vinyl tops for $250)
After market rims are currently on the car. I have the original wheels and hub caps as well
