1973 Chrysler Newport 2-door coupe. Triple white. 62k+ original miles. Runs and drives great. Minor flaws described below and in photos. Please read entire listing and review all photos closely before contacting with questions or making an offer. Thanks!
I have owned the car for about a year and in that time I have only replaced the battery, used Safelite to fill a windshield chip, and used some touch-up paint to touch up some nicks/chips in paint. My understanding is that the prior owner owned the car for several decades. I purchased the car from his estate.
I try to describe all faults I know of, as I do not like surprises as a buyer and want to describe everything as accurately as possible. I am not a mechanic or body guy so my knowledge and description is in layman's terms.
Prior owner had the air conditioning retrofitted to R-134a in 2019 (per sticker on front of engine bay - see photo) and it blows cold!
Front vertical bumperettes were removed and are in the trunk. (The 2 bolt holes in fender were covered with bolts.)
Minor nicks, dings, chips and surface rust spots to body and one chip in windshield that has been filled by Safelite (still visible but not in driver view).
Only a few minor bubbles under passenger rear vinyl below rear window - see photo.
Trunk floor under mat has surface rust but is solid - see photo.
Some cracking of paint in upper right part of passenger door - see photo. My guess is this door was painted at some point in the past. Door closes solid and tight.
One slight tennis ball size depression (not deep) on far rear part of driver side rear quarter panel - see photo.
Takes a few cranks to start when cold, but the engine purrs and idles steady once warmed up. Transmission shifts smoothly.
Tires have plenty of tread and wheels are in excellent shape - see photo.
Mileage may increase slightly as I do drive it occasionally.
