1966 Chrysler 300 Series

Vehicle Description
Up for auction is a 1966 Chrysler 300 I purchased out of Texas for a hobby in 2012. While I've managed to get some work done on it in that time, mostly I've just shuffled it around the driveway. I've not had this vehicle on the road since 2015, and have not managed to put more than a few hundred miles on it in all the years I've owned it. As the next decade is not looking to be less busy for me than the last, I think it's time to sell this to somebody who is able to give it the love it deserves. This car currently runs and drives in 1st gear and reverse. I don't think there's anything wrong with the transmission other than a sticky valve body from sitting around too much, it operated as expected last time I had it on the road. The tires are fairly weather checked but hold air reasonable well. The car should get on and off a trailer well enough, but you'd have to be brave to want to drive it home if that's very far.
Body has surface rust (see pictures) but overall seems solid. I had always envisioned doing a full restoration on this vehicle and believe the body is in good enough shape to make that worthwhile. A fair amount of trim and badging was removed by the previous owner but is included with the vehicle, in boxes in the trunk. It looks to me that everything is there, but I've not tried to reassemble it all to verify.
Per the previous owner, the engine was rebuilt by Farris Racing in Springtown Texas in late 2010. The head were redone, block tanked, bored and line honed and rotating assembly polished, resized and balanced, etc. The paperwork for that and much of the work done to the vehicle since is included. The engine has maybe 1000 miles on it since that rebuild. Additionally, this car has been updated to electronic ignition, has an upgraded dual field alternator, aluminum radiator with electric fans, and ceramic coated TTI headers with 3" dual exhaust and cross over.
Also included is a factory service manual, a collection of miscellaneous parts, and a new gas tank and sender I had on hand for an EFI conversion I will never get to.
Overall this is a very cool car that sounds awesome and could be a lot of fun for somebody with the time to work on it.
