Completely redesigned for the 1963 model year, this C2 really got it right in all areas! Let's get down to the details.
MECHANICAL:
a period correct 327 Chevy,this corvette really moves on down the road with ease. The engine starts easily, does not smoke or leak, andsound really nice. Mated to the327 is the original M20 Muncie 4 speed transmission. This sweet combination is what makes this Corvette such funto drive!It shifts easily with short, positive throws and has nice clutch feel with no chatter. Out back is the original POSI rear end unit and independent rear suspension with the new for 1963 transverse mounted leaf spring.
PAINT & BODY:
This 1963 Corvette has a beautiful straight, accident free body. The bonding strips are all intact, there are no signs of repair. Originally painted Ermine White, it now wears a fresh coat of professionally applied Deep Blue Metallic. This is a very nice quality base coat / clear coat paint job that has been color sanded and is very flat with nice depth.All of the bright-work & emblems appear to beoriginal andare invery nice condition.The gaps and panel fitment on thisCorvette are excellent!
INTERIOR:
The original interior is in very good shape especially when you consider that this Corvette is over 53 years old! Aside from needing a new carpet and floor mats, the interior shows well. The door panels and seats look nice and have no rips or split seams. All 4 windows open and close with ease. The dash panel is in excellent shape, and the fully functional gauges look fantastic! All of the backlights work and are dimmable. Every feature of the interior works with the exception of the beautiful center mounted clock. Yes, even the signal-seeking AM radio!
DRIVING CHARACTERISTICS:
In it's current condition, you can drive this Corvette anywhere you would like to go. It turns, stops and accelerates just as a vintage Corvette should, with ease! It runs cool and does everything it is supposed to do. The black soft-top is in excellent condition and very useful for those ultra hot days or the chance rain encounter. Or go full hardtop for that classic coupe look. The hardtop has the optional color matched headliner and is in truly great condition.
