This 1959 Chevrolet Apache is an original. The owner has had it for 5 years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives.

1959 Chevrolet Apache 3200 ½ Ton Long Bed Fleetside Pickup Truck

Original paint with patina. It is not clear coated, but can be oiled up like in the pictures.

235 6 Cylinder Engine with a Saginaw Muncie SM420 4 Speed Transmission (Same transmission used in dump trucks and school buses). 1st gear is a creeper/granny gear. Has Power Take-Off (PTO) access. Original Dana/Spicer 45 Posi Rear (First year ever that Chevy offered positraction as an option in a pickup truck). I believe the rear has a 3:90 gear ratio.

Montana ranch truck complete with cowboy hat holder, gun rack, Big Sky Country mud flaps, and bullet hole in the hood.

Nice interior. Seat has been reupholstered. Nice heavy duty rubber floor mat over solid floor.

Besides the rear axle option, electric wipers, and heater were also ordered.

Frame is nice and solid. Cleaned and painted. Wood bed is about 5 years old and has been treated every year.

Truck is in good working order. Many parts replaced as needed. Heavy duty rear bumper with trailer hitch and harness. There is also a hitch bolted to the front bumper. Nice full size spare mounted inside the bed. Complete original jack behind the seat. Engine has a 110v heater for cold winters, but I have never tried it.

Truck starts, runs, drives and stops really well. Transmission shifts fine, but clutch grabs hard when starting off and you cannot downshift into 2nd gear. Top end of engine was rebuilt about 5 years ago and very little mileage since then. New front springs. New gas tank. New shocks all around.

You may want to replace the lower fenders, step boxes, and cab corners. The lower passenger side hinge mount as well. All parts are available. The truck has dents, dings, and rust. It is a driver and is used as a truck. I use it locally to run errands. It is very reliable. Great old ride. Draws loads of attention where ever you go.
