Vehicle Description

Up for sale is a 1967 Chevrolet Impala. This is a two-door, hardtop sport coupe version. This is a project. Car is titled in Texas and I have an open title for this vehicle. It was in El Paso, TX for a number of years (desert car) and then it was moved to the Dallas Fort-Worth metroplex area some years ago. This is where this car now sits (Lewisville, TX). The title has the R code in the VIN, which meant this car was built in Arlington, TX. So, it started life in Arlington, was in El Paso for a number of years, and made its way back to the DFW metroplex.

Car is an original automatic, column-shift, 8 cylinder car. The transmission, driveshaft, and rear-end appear to be original to this car (and I do believe this is a TH350). The engine, I also believe, is a 283 variant and half the motor is still in the car (missing the heads and intake), but I can throw in a set of camel hump heads and an intake for the full asking price of the car (or sold separately if best offer option triggered). These cars are rare and hard to find in any condition.

The car has all the glass and elevators and stainless steel trim around the windows. The windshield has a BB hole on the driver side. It has the rear view mirror. It is missing front and back bench seats and back support. Seat belts are in the car. The footrest area for the back seats is crunchy and weak. Will need floorboards for a full restoration. The front floors are in better shape, but still weak. It still has the original black carper and miscellaneous parts inside. Trunk is OK, but not excellent. 5/10 on the trunk. All that is pictured goes with the car for full price.

Body panels are decent. Rear passenger quarter is dented (see aerial picture). Other side rear quarter has Bondo/mud that is cracking. As is typical with these cars, there is some rust in the rear wheel wells and on the inner fenders on the front. I believe this car has drum brakes all around, but the weird thing is that it has a power booster, so this may have been added at a later date. There is some trim on the car, but none of it is driver quality. The good part of the car is that all bumpers and lights are on the car as is the grille, corner pieces, lights, etc. Door handles are all there on the interior and exterior.

This is definitely a project car, but this is a slant-back Impala for 1967, one year body style. These are highly sought after for the lowrider crowd and early muscle car enthusiasts (please note that this is not a Super Sport car and it’s not badged nor advertised as a Super Sport). I have not analyzed the cowl tags for original colors, but I do believe the paint on this car is factory original color. It appears that it was the original spray, minus the repaired sections. Sail panels and inner door panels are still in the car, but have seen better days. Dash is all intact with the original steering wheel, cluster, ashtray, etc. The OEM radio is gone, but the dash isn’t cut up. Parking brake works and the transmission shifts into its gears. Tires hold air and can survive a cross-country transport. Window cranks and inner door handles are all there. Underside of car is surface-rusty. Suspension is all intact and wheels roll easily. 5X4.75 wheels (on rallys and hub cab steelies of varying diameters – 15” and 14”). This car is a great restoration candidate OR it is a fantastic donor car. Convert your four door donor parts into a two-door by using this car. The hood on this car is slightly dented downwards. The roof on the car is solid.

Car needs a total restoration, but this is a hardtop. Nice car for the money. I am open to offers, but full price will buy the car and extra wheels, hubcaps, an intake, and a set of camel hump heads. Please ask questions around other numbers, cowl trim codes, engine numbers. I’ll be glad to entertain questions. I can deliver this car within a hundred or so miles of DFW in any direction. I can meet you or your transporter anywhere in DFW metroplex.

Make an offer! All offers considered (no automatic eBay minimum set) by me. I require a deposit of $1000 and then we can discuss transport logistics and balance of negotiated price/delivery will be due in 7 days.
