1935 Chevy/like 3100
Very historic old Chevy. This was a tow truck from Lost Springs, KS during the 40's and 50's. It was rescued from the falling down garage roughly 40 years ago and given a quick paint job to match what it looked like back then. This is an awesome reminder of what life was like back then, from a town that started as a stop on the Santa Fe trail.
We put in some fresh gas, new spark plugs, and fresh oil & antifreeze. It starts and runs pretty good, but could use the rest of the tune up stuff - points, wires, etc. We did install a new fuel pump. The winch for the wrecker is PTO operated and it works. I have not messed with brakes or lights, but I have been driving around our yard - and the hand brake works. This was gussied up to be put in parades - not a show truck. It was a garage paint job - but the truck is very solid. It has numerous dings and dents around the back, but turns the head of everyone that sees it.
