Car has been collector owned all its life. Previous owner kept it in relatively good shape and occasionally used it to get some ice cream with his kids, run around town, the occasional cruise night and local car show. Body is VERY STRAIGHT and looks to have ALL ORIGINAL PANELS from what I could tell, but I'm no expert. Older paint probably 15-20 years old or so that shows well, a good 10-15 footer with some small imperfections, chips, scratches, and minor touchups. Doors open and close good, panel fit is very good. Overall a NICE ORIGINAL BODY with virtually NO RUST (a few bubbles at base of rear passenger quarter, nowhere else).
Interior is VERY NICE and a lot of it was replaced within the last few years. NEWER carpet, NEW door panels, NICE dash pad, NICE seats (rears were redone recently). NO big rips or tears anywhere. NICE headliner as well. Overall a NICE DRIVER QUALITY INTERIOR.
Under the hood the original 283 is long gone, replaced by a 396ci V8 with a mild camshaft, some internal mods, aluminum Intake, Edelbrock 750cfm 4bbl carburetor, headers, dual Flowmaster style exhaust, electric fuel pump and a few other minor upgrades. Fires right up and sounds good, idles good, performs well. Transmission shifts good. Brakes have recently been serviced and stop great, steers well without much play in the wheel. YOU CAN GET IN AND DRIVE THIS CAR TODAY!!!
Underside is SOLID THROUGHOUT. NO patches, NO welding, SOLID TRUNK, SOLID FRAME, SOLID FLOORBOARDS.
Overall this is a VERY NICE CRUISER that you an get in and use today and restore to your liking down the line. Obviously it's NOT perfect: radio not working, no heat/air, could use larger radiator for longer trips, perhaps a light bulb or two may need replacing. I'm sure there are other minor things I'm missing so please understand car is NOT A CREAM PUFF.
