1959 Chevrolet Apache Fuel Truck/like3100

Vehicle Description
1959 Chevrolet Apache Fuel Truck/like 3100What a unique piece of history, if you are an aviation guy or have a retro gas station this might be just what you need! This is a factory, flat face cowl 3/4 ton pickup. It was built in Kansas City, and used at on airport in Southwest Kansas. Obviously they used these trucks for clearance, to get under wings of aircraft, etc. This is a pretty solid example, with not much if any rust. It has some dings here and there, but overall pretty straight and very solid. It has a good, smooth running 235 engine. Sounds great, no smoke, etc. The transmission is a little noisy, but shifts through all gears and works just fine. The PTO for the pump engages and the pump turns, although I have not tired to pump with it. The steering feels a little tight like maybe needs lubed up, but it works. It will need a master cylinder for the brakes. This is just a great conversation piece, that runs & drives, or a great parade vehicle, which it has been recently. Also - it's a pickup so it hauls easy on a decent car trailer. Please read my feedback from lots of other old trucks I have sold, I just enjoy doing it. Feel free to call or text me at 620-786-5172 with any questions. This pickup is being sold on a bill of sale - but if that is a deal breaker for you - I can get you a title for $100.00, Kansas is antique vehicle title friendly. Also - I am fine with it setting here for free until you arrange transportation, and I can help with that also. Thanks for looking!
