1962 Chevrolet Impala 2 Door Hardtop, 327, Turbo350 Transmission

Vehicle Description
1962 2 door hardtop Impala. Factory original AC. It's a project car at the moment. It runs and rolls perfectly fine, but would need word to be on the road as its been about 10 years since the last time she was. I hate to see this car go - thought I would have it for life, but it's been 15 years of it not making it to the top of my project list, and it never will, so better to move on than rust away.Pictures tell most of it's condition, has rust in several places on the exterior and drivers floorboard. Otherwise solid car.Bit of it's story:Been in the family for 45 years. It was my Grandfathers car, then my Dad's, then became mine when I turned 16 and was my daily driver for many years, till it became a 2nd car, then a 3rd, and then eventually no driving and just sitting. Car was originally sold in OK to someone who lived in Texas. During some work I did in the trunk, I removed the original lining and found two receipts from the day the guy bought the car and drove it home. One for a AAA motel in TX that cost $6.18 for the night, and a gas receipt for 11.9 Gallons that cost $3.66. Not that any of that ads to the value, but they go with the car for it's story. Same for the Midas muffler install paperwork in the 1980's we did that has a "Lifetime Guarantee" that I've always wanted to try and test 40 years later. It went through a restoration in 1997 - body, paint, interior. Engine had about 93,000 miles on it and was fully rebuilt at a professional shop. The original 2-speed Turbo Glide was replaced with a Turbo350 (it was the original aluminum Turboglide, and unfortunately I never did pick it up from the shop all those years ago).Since the rebuild, the engine and transmission likely have less than 30,000 miles on them. For as long as she's been sitting, still starts and purs great, and with a tune-up and fresh fluids, runs 100% perfectly.Other obvious issues: Cracked windshield. Gas tank has rust in it, needs replacing. Running it right now with a rigged pony tank/gas can to move it around. Rear taillights have had a on and off ghost for decades, not working right now. . Two tires hold air, two do but not for long. The spare on the car right now came with the car when my Grandfather bought it in 1980, so it dates from the late 70's. The 4th matching rim for the 3 on the car is in the trunk. That is why the car is on jacks - just to keep the tiers off the ground till I inflate them again.Comes with all of it's trim pieces, interior, exterior, beauty rings and bezels, AC ducts and chrome vents. Also allot of extra other parts I've collected - both new and old, some in great shape, some OK.Any questions, please ask.
