Vehicle Description

1972 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, 1/2 ton 4x4 drivetrain.

Vehicle Details

Car was put together in the early 80’s, primarily as a tow vehicle by my Dad. I have owned it since 1986, it has been titled as a assembled vehicle in Michigan since 1987.

The Monte Carlo was originally from Tennessee and to my knowledge has never been driven in the winter. The body is solid and arrow straight, always stored inside and never off-roaded. The laquer paint was sprayed around 1990 and is showing its age in a few spots. All the chrome is there but could use refurbishing. The frame of the Monte Carlo was channeled to fit over the Surburban frame with no alterations to the body of the Monte Carlo other the T-case shifter opening.

The drivetrain is stock GM from a 1973 Suburban.

The motor was bored .030 and completely rebuilt less then 5000 miles/25 years ago. Trans is a TH350 with a shift kit.

Car runs and drives good, wouldn’t hesitate to drive it anywhere, and have made trips out of State with it during Power Tour etc. It is a driver, and drives like a 1973 Suburban, but with detail work it would and does show well. It gets noticed.

Please ask if you have any questions.

The car is located in Howell Mi and is available to look at in person with arrangements.
