1988 Monte Carlo SS in pretty original condition. I am the third owner with receipts and a journal dating back to 1988 when the car was purchased by original family. Car runs and drives very nicely, doesn't overheat and shifts perfectly. Here is a short list of what's been done to it since I've owned it.1. Rebuilt Computer Controlled Carburetor2. New water pump3. New alternator4. New distributor and coil5. Transmission oil and filter changed along with new TCC solenoid6. New plugs and wires7. Exhaust is newer stock type but aluminizedBody: Much of the paint is still original lacquer (trunk, roof, rockers), I can't tell if the doors, fenders or hood have been painted but the front bumper looks really good. Has its bumps and bruises but for 37 years old it looks really good. There is no rust on the car anywhere. All panels look to be original and the quarters for sure are.Drivetrain: It's the original engine and transmission. When I changed the tranny oil and filter it looked like it may have been the first time looking at the gm part number on the filter. There are no leaks of any kind on the car. Engine is still strong and runs really good. Tranny shifts great and runs like new. There is no "service engine soon" light on, it comes on when you start the car and then goes off like it should.Electrical: Everything works, all gauges, lights, turn signals, horn, power windows, windshield wipers, original radio and tape player, etc...All and all a great car to drive around and have fun in. It has its patina but for the starting price it's a great deal. I have driven this car daily and it has never let me down. Thanks for lookingClean clear Texas title in my name.
