1977 Chevrolet Monte Carlo 1 Owner Car

My uncle bought this car new in 1977 as a dealer demonstrator in Wichita Kansas I remember riding in this as a small child (I was12) and thinking he had the coolest car ever. He kept it all those years and about 6 years ago called me to ask if I would be interested in the car, I of course said yes. It has new tires as the car sat in the garage since 1991 and was covered in dust and the tires had horrible flat spots, The factory Landau wheels are included.I put the car in storage 4 years ago as I had moved to Arkansas for retirement, recently went back to get it it fired right up and I drove it 6 hours home flawlessly and comfortably, however about 30minuts frommhome the speedo cable quit.Car milage is assumed to be correct and can be documented to some extent by the service receipts and such that where in the glove box.Car starts easy as it should, purrs very quietPaint is really nice with a few imperfectionsIt stops well, goes down the highway at 80 super smooth, no steering play, and very quiet and handles amazingly well.Lights all work, signals, brake etc.Wipers work etc.The car is very mechanically sound, little smoke on initial start up when sitting for months at a time,has a small valve cover leak due to gasket.Interior shows well, but is old obviously, carpet is nice and shows hardly any wear.The radio is an 8 track and does not work as far as I know.the emergency brake light says it's on, but it's not.Vinyl top shows ageThe driver door is a bit finicky when I try to shut it so I have to close it harder than I wish.I wanted to have the transmission serviced car tuned up etc. and they told me I should rebuild the transmission since it had been sitting so long, it seemed to be fine, but I wasn't really wanting to break down, so they talked me into doing it, that was $3000 and it has a warranty.I am not a car guru at all, so please ask questions as I really want someone to enjoy this car and if you wish you can call, and I can answer questions for you as I am not real sure what people may need to see pictures of or if I am missing something you may need to know and the weather was sunny and partly cloudly so the photos may be not the best.I am just at a place in life at this age that I just dont need more things to keep up with and don't need the stress.Chad is my name 479-405-9653 I am located on Table rock lake in Eureka Springs Arkansas, it's a great place to come down to pick up the car stay awhile here in the Ozark mountains and enjoy a few days driving around in the Monte Carlo.
