Vehicle Description

1974 Camaro Z28 Factory 4/Speed Type LT. I am the second owner of the car. Vehicle was purchased at a local Chevrolet dealership in Houston TX new in 1974. I do have some of the original dealership documents. I have owned the car since 2008 and just completed a full rotisserie restoration in 2025. Note: There are a few items that will still needed to complete the car. See items in bold in listing information below.

  • Body is all original GM sheet metal. No Rust. Car was completely soda blasted prior to paint and the underside was coated with Seal Tite undercoating. Pant was recently completed in December 2024. Has never been in rain. Frame and chassis components were powder coated satin black. The original color code was 74 (Medium Red Poly). I changed the color to a custom PPG mix (Bright Blue Metallic). Bumpers were professionally polished and have new rubber trim. Glass has been replaced with new with exception of passenger side glass which is in great shape. All Window trim and all weatherstripping has been replaced with new.
  • Interior color was originally (Tan). The entire interior was replaced with all new black components. Carpet, Seats are LT version recovered, door panels, rear side and sail panels, headliner, seat belts, front kick panels, console, rope steering wheel, reconditioned tilt steering column and dash pad. (Some Gauges Need Work: Fuel and Volt Gauge)
  • Engine was completely overhauled. Has a correct 350 4 bolt main block (3970010) with all new internals. I still have the numbers matching 350 Block. (See in Photos) It was previously machined to .040 over and is in excellent condition. I just decided to go with a .030 over bore instead of the .040. The original steel crankshaft and rods were used with Speed Pro .030 over forged pistons. New mild hydraulic comp cams valve train. The heads are an upgrade from the original 882 castings (which I still also have) to a set of OTC GM 3927186 heads with stainless 2.02 & 1.60 valves and Z28 springs. The original block and heads will go with the car. Has original intake with the original quadra jet carburetor which was professionally restored and original dual snorkel air cleaner. Ignition was upgraded to a Pertronix HEI distributor, MSD coil and wires. Headman ceramic coated headers.
  • Transmission is the original Muncie 4 Speed which was professionally restored by Riverside Gear.
  • Rear differential is the original Posi Trac with 3.73 gear ratio.
  • All new brakes including all steel brake lines.
  • All suspension and steering components have been replaced with new. (Still Needs Final Alignment)
  • The car was a factory AC car but I upgraded the AC with a new Vintage AC system. (Needs compressor installed & evacuate and recharge). (I have the components to complete to go with the car)
  • Many new accessories were replaced with mostly OER or NOS restoration components adding to the fine detail of this restoration. This is one of the cleanest 74 Z28's out there.
