Vehicle Description

Title in Hand – Clean 1962 Impala Big Block – Turn-Key Muscle

Up for sale is a beautifully restored 1962 Chevy Impala. This car blends classic styling with a strong performance presence. It’s been tastefully lowered for a muscular stance, sitting on staggered wheels—18x8 up front and 20x10 in the rear.

Under the hood is a powerful 496 Big Block engine paired with a 700R4 overdrive transmission and having a deep, aggressive tone from the dual side-pipe exhaust (short video/audio clip available in ad). This Impala also features:

  • 4-wheel slotted disc brakes
  • A/C
  • Aluminum radiator with dual electric fans
  • POSI rear end
  • Tilt steering wheel with an Ididit column
  • Clean red interior
  • Original straight stainless trim
  • Tuxedo black paint in solid condition

I’d rate the paint and trim as a 5- to 10-footer—not a show car, but very nice.

My original plan was to convert it to EFI, but I recently picked up a ‘65 Vette for an LS swap, so I have regrettingly decided to part ways with the Impala. If you meet my asking price, I’ll include a brand-new Fitech GO EFI 30002 kit as part of the deal.

Disclosure items:

  • The door locks operate properly using the interior knobs, but the key does not engage the lock mechanism. Based on my research, the likely cause is broken plastic clips that connect the rod to the back of the lock cylinder.
  • The right rear tire slowly leaks and has gone flat a couple times this past year. It shows some discoloration and should be replaced (ideally the rear set) before road use.
  • About me:

I'm a lifelong car enthusiast, 55 years young, and have been active on eBay since 2000. Over the years, I've purchased a variety of high $ vehicles here—from a Jaguar F-Type to a ‘65 Vette to a lifted LS1-swapped Jeep TJ restomod and more. Every car I buy is with the intention of keeping it as a forever car.

This Impala has a stance that stops you in your tracks. As I look through the photos for this listing, I’m second-guessing the decision to let her go. If I had more space in my collection, the Impala would be staying.
