1950 Chevy Truck 4400 1 1/2 Ton Grain Truck Tilt Bed Dump Truck Barn Find

This listing is for a very nice solid and straight 1950 1 1/2 ton 4400 series Chevy grain truck. It has a tilt bed with single speed rear end.
It has very solid fender bottoms as shown in the pictures. The D/S cab corner is solid. The P/S cab corner has just a small amount of rust starting as the picture shows, but nothing very bad and could be used as-is. The door bottoms are solid and the doors shut nicely. The grille is very straight as the pictures indicate. The dash is complete and unmolested.
It has a 13' bed and being the smaller 1 1/2 ton with a shorter wheelbase, it is easier to maneuver and requires less space than the larger 2 ton trucks.
The motor runs with the use of a gas can. It will need a fuel pump that I have not gotten to yet. It is currently hooked up to start from a hot wire since the ignition switch is not in the dash. I haven't had a chance to order one yet. I have located eBay members who have the fuel pump, ignition switch and the cylinder with key. I plan to continue to work on the truck installing these items, but the value of the truck will increase and be priced accordingly.
The overall condition of the truck is very nice and solid. It has been barn kept by the condition of the sheet metal and even the hood side emblems are nice with none of the typical pitting associated with a 69 year old truck.
Besides the fuel pump, ignition switch and cylinder, it will also need a battery. As is typical with these larger trucks of this era, it will need brakes. Could be something as simple as a master cylinder or wheel cylinders. The bed wood floor will need repair as well.
This truck will be excellent advertising for your business, or with the repairs mentioned, ready to go to work. Remove the bed sides and be the coolest parade entry!
