1988 Challenge Car #80 driven by Doc Bundy. Part of a two car team with #8- the only two dark red challenge cars ever built. Has the correct sealed engine and all the original equipment and decals. Never wrecked or seriously damaged. Car appears as new. It is listed in the Race car registry which shows its race history. It was awarded the Challenge Car Award at the 2011 NCRS National convention. Also displayed at Bloomington Gold. Of the 56 of these cars buil, less than 35 remain as several were destroyed during the season and 12 were returned to GM and were crushed after the engineers were done with them. Challenge cars were the first and only factory built and run race cars until the modern era.
