Vehicle Description

NO RESERVE HIGHEST BIDDER WINS!This Very Rare vehicle is a heated garage kept 1968 Cadillac Miller Meteor Ambulance similar to the Ghostbusters! It an all original numbers matching vehicle. It has a first year, completely original, non-molested V8 472 cubic engine which is very rare and was designed to be used by the US military as apossible aircraft motor/ship engine. This year 472 is built from superior, extremely strong wear resistant alloys that are not found in any other car motors to my knowledge as they are virtually wear proof and virtually indestructible with the capability to achieve extreme horsepower and torque with ease. To my knowledge only the 1968 472 is one of the strongest, toughest, and with the right tuning, is potentially capable of producing some of the highest extreme horsepower & torque of all time. This particular year 472 engine never got commissioned for military use so Cadillac detuned them (restrict or plates in exhaust etc) and never publicized there ability/capability putting them mostly in commercial vehicles as to try to keep secret it’s full potential of its incredible design, durability, capability and ability to achieve extreme performance from the general public. The 1968 472 is the rarest, most over engineered, most extremely well built 472 ever produced. Very few people know the quality of this engine and the power it is capable of producing. Do some research and if nothing else you will learn some incredible things about the 1968 472 engine history and it’s potential. This 1968 472 alone is priceless and if the right buyers see it, it can sell for 10’s of thousands and even more valuable with matching transmission. I haveowned this 1968 Cadillac 472 V8 ambulance since about 1990. I believe Im the second owner as I was told by dealership I purchased from back in 1990 that it was traded in by original owner and was in service up to recently before trading it in. At time of purchase it was in 100% working order needing nothing other than same paint work as now to fully restore. I always kept car in heated garage and only drove vehicle occasionally with the intentions to do paint work to fully restore when funds would be available to me but later when the funds came life got in the way and had other priorities. The ambulance it self is also completely original non molested with No body work ever being done to my knowledge so it’s 100% bondo-free. Has no cancerous rust that I’ve seen and very few small areas of minor surface rust. Vehicles frame is in excellent condition 100% solid with very light/little to no surface rust absolutely no major rust whatsoever. It’s been kept on blocks since 1993 and never sat directly on rims even though tires are no good now and don’t hold air due to dry rot. It has 66801 miles on all original 472 engine, transmission, and chassis. The only parts I have ever replaced on this car was an ignition coil I replaced with an old stock oem ignition coil I found sitting on dealer shelf since the 70’s and installed last year other than that a new battery installed 4 or 5 years ago. So vehicle is truly 99.99999% original with only the battery not being original factory equipment. Vehicle has always been started every year at least once a year. At this time there seems to be no fluid leaks of any kind. Vehicle starts right up and purrs like a kitten. I started it again today!!! The interior is in almost pristine condition with no cracks in dash, no rips, tears or stains on seats or interior upholstery with the exception of one, approximately a 3/4 inch tear in the rear headliner other than that it’s very close to perfect for age. Also included is original lights, gurney, stair chair, oxygen equipment,2 jumpseats,, storage cupboards, seatbelts, refrigerated compartments, hubcaps including an extra, selector switch, has 2 different sirens and a PA system. Also has original sliding window, linoleum flooring, rear heating, and has 5 doors. Has a clean and clear title in hand and numbers match on engine, transmission, and chassis. There is minor paint chipping on the roof and very few places on the body most of the clear coat even still maintains it luster. Needs very little restoration overall to put on the road with new tires (current tires do not hold air), may need brake pads/shoes, maybe fresh fluids for engine and transmission and it should be good to go. To make 100% perfectly restored would need very minor body work ( mostly sanding) and paint. Btw All roof light lenses have no cracks fogging, or damage.Vin # Z8277950. This is a great example of a heated garage kept find and this vehicle is very rare to find let alone with this 1st year 1968 472 V8 engine and transmission factory installed, that is highly sot after by people that are in the know about this particular engine and transmission combo. It is almost impossible to find this particular 1968 ambulance with this engine transmission combo being completely original (other than an ignition coil which I purchased an old stock oem factory replacement and a battery) and non-molested in this good of condition for its age. The only reason I’m selling cause I know need the space for a business I’m going to be starting soon.
