1973 Cadillac Eldorado Pace Car White Exterior, Red Interior 1 of 566 -Video-

Vehicle Description
Up for sale is this beautiful 1973 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible Indianapolis 500 Pace Car Edition. HD walk-around, sound system test, etc. video: https://youtu.be/d4Q4rGQH3-c I've been told that only 566 were made of this pace car and even less around today. so it's an extremely select few people who can say they have owned this iconic car. I believe the 66 of the 566 were parade cars with special flag pole holders on the bumper and lettering on the side, so it really makes it more of a 1 of 500 for the non flag bumper/non side lettered style. 500cu in v8 engine that You can listen to run in the video above. My family has had this car for around 8 years and has been garage kept. We only added things that could be removed to get it back to original condition, like the vinyl wrap so that it could go back to being a show car if we ever sold it. It is white exterior under a vinyl wrap and all red interior, I've been told its the model the Shriners use as their parade car. This car was vinyl wrapped almost immediately after purchasing it, it was used as a parade car and would be parked in front of the retail store we had at special occasions or used to go get ice cream etc. You can remove the vinyl or simply edit the vinyl pieces with words If you wanted to keep the eye catching vinyl, as the graphics are really fun and draw a lot of attention driving around. Everyone honks and takes pictures and waves as you pass by, you always feel like your in a parade without even being in one. I would estimate we have put less than 250 miles on it each year since purchasing it. With only 112k miles on the vehicle The vinyl seats were reupholstered around a year ago and have probably only been sat in a handful of times We paid to have a really nice sound system added to the Cadillac and it really makes this car a blast to ride around in and jam out to your favorite music as your driving in the parade or around town! The sound system cost a little over 5k for parts and labor, they used premium speakers such as (6) alpine type r speakers in the cabin. Two in the front in the custom head unit console, 2 in the custom box in the floor middle of the back seat, and 2 near the side panels in the back seat pointing back at the front for a full sound. It also has a custom subwoofer setup with 2 huge high quality JL audio 10in subwoofers for a nice tight and punchy bass that really makes the music shine. Equipped with 2 JL Audio amplifiers, a 6 channel 600w for the front speakers and a 1000w premium JL Audio sub amplifier along with a BOSS 2.0 farad power capacitor. Head unit is a pioneer, with radio tuner, usb connection and AUX connection. My phone no longer has a AUX port so I use a AUX to usb-c cable and it works like a dream. Bluetooth was not an option on this head unit, but a simple $20 bluetooth adapter will make it be bluetooth compatible if that is important to you. Has a good bit of the vehicle dealer candy such as: maintenance schedule pamphlet, ECS information card, owners manual, and 1973 salesman's merchandising guide (extremely rare book with dealers fabric and vinyl swatches and all options etc. For the showroom salesmen to refer to) Brand new items have been installed recently including: -New battery with easy to use kill switch lever for saving the battery when not in use and making it harder to hot wire, or when doing upgrades without going through the frustrating process getting tools out to remove terminal from the battery post every time -vinyl seats reupholstered, I believe the springs and foam were replaced as well. They are extremely comfortable! -new air intake filter -new coolant reservoir overflow -new front headlights -went around and replaced any side lights etc. I noticed out with brand new bulbs so all lights should be in good shape -XL fabric car dust cover Things to be fixed: -* carb has recently stopped working and is keeping the car from running, you can see it running in the video so this is new as of posting, ive recently reduced the price a lot to make up for this so you have plenty of room to fix or replace -Rearview mirror will come with the car but needs to be reattached as it has become detached -Carpet on door panels pulling away -Fuel gauge not working -Ac has never been looked at to see if it will work, doesn't currently seem to do anything when turning the air on. We've always driven it In nice weather only so it hasn't ever been an issue for us. -Cracked vinyl on dash, door arm rests, sun visor - After seats were reupholstered and reinstalled they didn't hook the plugs back in for the electronic seat controls -Old gas line has recently developed a small intermittent drip leak near the back probably a vinyl line that will need to be repaired or most likely replaced. -stop engine temp light on dash. Light turns on when door is opened even when cold and not running. Temperature on radiator doesn't run hot, looks like it's a pretty common issue over the years for the temp sensor to be stuck on ground or that wire is touching some metal and sending a Grounding signal. It's a pretty "dumb" sensor so it can easily be triggered by a bad ground etc. Doesn't effect anything, only a quality of life fix -Driver and passenger windshields roll up and down as normal, back windshields need to be adjusted as they need help going up and down by pulling them a bit up or down to help the motor out or are possibly misaligned -1 hubcap is damaged and off the car, replacements are not terribly expensive or you can repair the damaged one -Weather seals need to be replaced (we only used it on nice days with the top down so it never saw rain with us as it was covered in the climate controlled garage and we almost never put the top up as its a lot more fun to drive with the top down) -Clock doesn't appear to be working -brakes need work, has a little bit of stopping power but not much, seems like the brake booster is bad or needs maintenance as its pretty hard when pushing down. Fluid was dark and needed to be changed when I looked at it, so it could just need the brake fluid flushed and replaced. Was stopping fine a little while back so I don't think it's a major issue -Cut on the side wall of 1 tire will need to be replaced as well as brakes fixed before driving to be safe -Convertible top was partially working when we first got it, you would have to help it get going but now seems to be in need of adjustment as I can hear the motor working to lift the top but isn't lifting. I'm not sure if it mechanical or hydraulic but could be a simple fix. The top itself has 3 rips, 2 small and 1 large in the middle. We never drove this vehicle in the rain so we never used the top, possibly repairable as the rest look to be in good shape, but maybe is easier to just put band new vinyl on it. back window is Ultralite, a see through clear vinyl window, has some scratches and marks but overall is usable still. -Trunk closes but needs to be minorly adjusted as you have to push it down to latch it 2 Box of random parts will be included as well with the sale from the previous owner. These parts appear to be old parts that were possibly replaced such as antenna and motor, door panel controls, bolts, nuts, screws, seatbelt parts, small interior pieces, 2 headrests. Etc. They seem like old parts that were pulled but may have been saved to be fixed later or used for donor parts etc. This is the car you've been looking for, an incredibly rare collector car with minor issues left to sort out that I believe is priced under market value with a lot of meat on the bone for a collector or reseller to help negate those costs and give you lots of room to tinker on those fixes and make a nice profit or hold on to it for a long term investment as this car will only get more valuable with the ones left on the road getting less and less each year. I'd be happy to make sure you are 100% confident in what your buying if you are from out of town to verify the car before you make a long drive to look at it, and If you're local and are motivated to purchase I'd love to show you the car in person. please reach out so I can get you any information you need as I believe this car is priced to sell well under market value with lots of room to make a nice profit after some small fixes, and with the extremely rare nature of the vehicle I don't believe it will last long once the right collector finds this listing This car is located in Ruston Louisiana in-between Shreveport and Monroe Vehicle can be paid for in cash (preferred method) with title and keys handed over at the same time, or cashiers check, but must go 1 minute down the road to my bank to verify and deposit before handing over title and keys,. This vehicle is stored in my warehouse/garage on my businesses property right on the Hwy in a very visible and safe location/area. no other payment methods will be accepted, no venmo, paypal, check etc. Don't let this incredibly rare car get away. You may never see one again! There are only a set number of pictures I can post on ebay, the video is a more complete viewing of the car walking around it in detail.
