Vehicle Description

THIS is a 1985 Cadillac Eldorado which I purchased in 1987 from McLean Cadillac in Tustin, California. It was given to my mother in April 1991 as I had company cars with Oldsmobile then. She drove it until 2005 when I bought her a trade-in 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue GX, then a 1999 Park Avenue, then a 2000 Intrigue Sterling Edition. My brother now drives the 2000 Intrigue. The HT 4100 V8 was replaced in 1994 at around 93,000 miles. I had a new crate engine installed by Renick Cadillac in Fullerton, California for $4,400. I worked at Renick Cadillac from 1979 to 1980. The Cadillac was driven in the Anaheim area to the current mileage of 118,917 (although the car does have a five-digit odometer). Restorers will recognize the bladed black and silver valve covers indicating the new engine. The car was stored in the Anaheim garage from 2005 to 2022, and my mother never paid any DMV late fees, nor did she process a Planned Non-Operation. We trailered the car to Arizona to our ranch outside of Parker and had it registered there in 2024. It has the personalized Arizona ZIRCONR license plate, and the registration is paid through February 15, 2026. The license plate will be retained by me for use on other Arizona vehicles.I brought it back to California to have the restoration started and the vehicle is still at a local shop in storage. There are MANY new parts in boxes in the trunk: shock absorbers, fan belts, brake pads, wiper blades, fuel pump, radiator cap, radiator hoses, thermostat, fuel pump strainer, fuel filter, oil filter, spark plugs and a wire set (see photos). I verified the parts again on April 30, 2025.Four whitewall tires from 2022 (always in garage storage) and newly powder-coated original wheels are included, along with twenty brand new lug nuts. The tires and wheels, currently in my garage, are worth over $800! There are no wheel covers. The tires will be installed on the vehicle upon removal date. Please make a proper appointment between 9 AM and 4 PM Monday through Friday as the car is at my shop. The buyer will need to trailer the vehicle from the shop.We had started this vehicle many times in Anaheim, and it always ran fine. The car will need a new battery. This car does not require emissions testing in Arizona.I could resume the restoration, but I prefer to let someone else enjoy this classic as I have a 1979 Cadillac Coupe deVille and a 2002 Eldorado ETC.I have the clean, current title from Arizona.
