Vehicle Details
I bought this Cadillac Allante for my wife as an anniversary present in 2015. She has driven it about 10 miles and I have driven it a few hundred miles since then. We take it to car shows occasionally. The car has won several trophies, including “best of show“ just last year at a local show.
We had the car professionally repainted in 2015. (No body work was required. Only sanding and painting as the original paint was fading). New tires were installed last year. A new battery was installed a little over a month ago. It has just over 66,000 actual miles.
We Just had a window regulator put in the passenger door.
This has the removable hard top Along with the black cloth soft top.
The good: it looks great and drives down the road, smooth and steady. Brakes are even and it doesn’t pull to either side. Plenty of Pep and pick up. Transmission shifts smoothly. New battery, new tires, paint is 10 years old. Pull down trunk works great. Both power windows work as they should. Radio and power antenna work. Leather is in excellent condition.
The bad: the muffler is starting to get a bit loud. The air conditioning (R12) needs servicing and currently does not blow cold. The dashboard has sun stains on it and the defroster vent sticks up about an inch on one end. Some of the plastic on the interior is cracked. One of the small center console screens is blotchy and unreadable. There are a few stains on the carpet.
The ugly: I’ve already mentioned the dashboard above and the blotchy panel on the center console. Other than that, it’s a pretty good looking car.
Although I do not recommend it, I would personally drive this car cross country today.
