Vehicle Description

1960 Cadillac "Superior" Hearse (Haunted??), very rare & hard to find! when was the last time you saw a 1960 cadillac hearse on the road??? $34,900I have owned the rare 1960 Cadillac "Superior" Hearse for close to 15 years now and we use it from Fathers day through Halloween to do "Haunted" shows in the NY area. I have decided to "pass the torch" and sell the Haunted Hearse! First, I will tell you what we do, and then I will tell you about this rare piece of automotive history. We do "Goulish, Scary, and very different shows with the Hearse year round (especially from Father's day through Halloween) and have been written up in Newspapers, been on TV, and do all events (except Funerals). We have worked with celebrities and horror stars such as Boris Karloff's daughter (Sarah), Vincent Price's daughter (Victoria),cast of the Munsters, Elvira, George Barris and many more, (See photos). Watch us on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/HauntedHearse/videos/634497419996119 along with videos, photos, etc. We have done all kind of events such as Halloween parties, party events, weddings, store openings, photo shoots, etc., but again, no funerals!! (yes, we have been asked several times)). We actually create traffic jams on the parkways & in gas stations (when filling up) as people slow down to take out their cell phones out to take photos!!The Hearse is built with animatronics on the inside has lots of ghouls and creatures that go bump in the night and some that might even JUMP out at you!As noted before, If you look closely at the photos you will see some of the great horror and film stars we have worked with in the past and even some that have signed the Hearse! You will see Victoria Price (the daughter of the late and great horror star Vincent Price) who made such great classics ("House on Haunted Hill", "House of Wax","The Abominable Dr. Phibes, and "The Fly") AND Frankenstein's daughter Sarah Karloff (Boris Karloff's daughter) ("Frankenstein,", "The Bride of Frankenstein", and "The Mummy"). You can also see Butch Patrick, who played Eddie on the "Munsters" TV show, as well as Pat Priest, who played Marilyn, Eddie's cousin. Also, the late George Barris who created the Munster coach, as well as the bat mobile, the DeLorean from Back to the Future.Believe me, this 1960 Cadillac Superior Hearse is like nothing you have ever seen before. It is over 22 feet long, weighs over 7000 lbs and statistics say there are very few left in existence today and even less on the road! We truly love everyone’s reactions when they see all the Hearse has to offer! Restored 1960 Cadillac Hearse's are going for between $78,000 and $100.000, I am asking less than half for this rare Hearse! Before we decided to sell, Ghostbuster's fans were always asking us if we would consider selling so they can convert to a Ecto-1 Ghostbusters vehicle which has been done many times before with other 60' Cadillac Hearses. OK, now that you know all about us, let me tell you about the star in question here, the "Haunted Hearse". If you follow car magazines, or know vintage Hearses, this rare Hearse is the sister of the famous 1960 Cadillac "Thundertaker" Superior Coachworks Hearse that was in Hot Rod magazine! They were both owned by the same funeral home in Oregon! She runs very well especially for a 65 year old car classic) starts right up, never had a problem with her going to gigs, It has power steering, power brakes, it does not have air conditioning as it did not come from the factory with it in 1960 unless I believe it was specifically ordered. All the lights work, all the front and rear signals work, The speedometer does not work (don't worry, you won't be getting any speeding tickets) The speedo stopped working a few years ago when the cable starting making noise, so I dissconected the cable and the milage it was when I removed the cable was 44,646 (I can't honestly tell you whether that is the true milage or not. I do know the Hearse was still in use up till 1973. The front seat was recovered in leather, however the door panals are original, intact, but tattered. The floor of the entire interior is covered with carpet (as I did not want the rollers exposed) however the "Rollers" still remain underneath. The rear interior lights work, and the rear divider is still intact with storage compartments behind the front seat, & it has a lot of room in those compartments (It's where the full size spare tire is stored) Most of the rear interior is housed by all the "Ghouls & Ghosts" lurking back there, and yes,, whom ever is the lucky buyer will inherit a good part of the "Animatronics" that will come with the Hearse. As far as the exterior is concerned, the body is not in perfect shape as we purposly kept it that way for the kind of work we do as described above. It gives her lots of character "Patina" sort of like the "Munster" mobile. All the doors (Rear Hatch door, driver & passenger "Suicide" doors" and the front driver & passenger) open/close/ and lock. The glass all around including the "Rare" curved glass on the sides in the rear are very nice. The chrome is good, The undercarriage is solid. The tires have lots of rubber, and ready to travel ** The hubcaps currently on the Hearse I believe are the original Cadillac caps that came with the car, however In some of the photos you see after market hubcaps, but those I took off and put these on.The engine has the original 390 cubic inch engine which produces 325 horsepower. She is currently registered, inspected and comes with a full size car cover (made for the Hearse)** Just one last item to discuss! People have been texting and asking just how "Haunted" is the Hearse? My response to all is: When we are driving back home after finishing a show, and all the animatronics are powered off inside the back of the Hearse, we still hear strange noises coming from the back of the Hearse, but not to worry, as they are all friendly!! So, there you have it in a nut shell! if you have been looking for a rare vintage Hearse, then this is the one for you! I am asking $34,900 or best reasonable offer. feel free to come on down,& we'll go for a Haunted cruise!!PLEASE: Serious inquiries only, and PLEASE: No bogus emails or texts as I know all the tricks. Contact me with any questions you might have. Thank you for your time.....**Please note: In the payment checkout section (before I listed the Hearse) I selected "cash on pickup", and for some reason Ebay added to my (cash on pickup choice) that I also accepted "Caramel" for payment. I have no idea what Caramel is, and all I do know is that it is somehow part of Ebay, but for the record, I do not accept Caramel. I will contact Ebay on the matter. Thank you...
