1984 Buick LeSabre *Limited Edition*
Classic 1984 Buick LeSabre with lots of potential, body is straight and minimal rust for the Northeast. Interior is in good shape, some plastic trim fade starting to show from sun exposure. Headliner falling down in the back. Power antenna stops half way up, radio powers on but has no signal. Car is drivable onto a trailer or around the block only, because it won’t re- charge the battery when under load. Battery light does not illuminate on dash, not sure why at the moment. Replaced alternator and new belts, still doesn’t charge.Car comes with a new water pump and thermostat, which doesn’t leak coolant, but was going to flush the system and start with everything new.307 engine starts up on one or two pumps of the pedal and is tuned well, impressive. No engine misfire or hesitation. Slight black smoke occasionally on cold startups, but clears up quickly. The car had no power brakes when we first got it running, after replacing the brake booster, the brakes now work as expected and the car has great stopping power. New tires installed, only driven around the block once or twice. A/c cycles ON but doesn’t blow cold air. Heater works as expected. Car only has a key for the ignition, not the door. Door key is lost. Exhaust hanger and tailpipe need to be replaced.Trunk has to be accessed by the release button in the glove box, once opened, the truck was noted to be incredibly clean, no rust in the tub or wheel wells whatsoever. Brake pedal cover also has very little wear, I wonder if the car does only have 4,xxx miles, rather than the 67,069 that the title says. I have some maintenance records and a full shop manual for the car, by Buick, as seen in pictures. Either way, it’s a clean car, and ready for the next owner. $500 deposit due in 48 hours and full payment due in two weeks, otherwise car is subject to re- list.
