Being offered up for auction is a rarely encountered 1978 Buick Riviera Anniversary Edition.The vehicle was rescued a few years back from Iowa where it was stored in a garage for 30 = or - years.The vehicle is in good survivor condition.I had to give the engine (403ci) a full tune up and carburetor rebuild.The brake calipers (rear) were repaired,master cylinder and booster were replaced.Car runs,shifts and stops well.The exterior is a 10 footer,the original black paint on hood and truck is dead and will need a good rubbing out,the vinyl roof is there but is in poor condition and will need to to replaced.I feel no soft spots to roof but it is unknown until vinyl is removed for roofs condition.No dents to body (few dings are present),was rust proof when new so body is in good condition with some small bubbling at passenger side behind door.Interior is in decent condition,leather seat has cracking but no holes,rugs could use a good cleaning,also free from holes and dash has a small 1/2" crack,door panels have cracking at arm rests.Passenger side seat began to stop working forward and back,all angles still work.Power antenna not working,needs cable and radio/8 track could use a reconditioning.Exhaust is new from cat back and now developed a leak in front of cat.Car is driveable while repairs are being made.There may be some areas that I missed so have an appraiser check out car or ask questions.Car is be sold as is.
