1971 Buick GS 350 Convertible Yellow

This 1971 Buick GS 350 is an original. The owner has had it for 3 years. The vehicle is drivable and is mainly used for weekend drives.

Vehicle Details

Original color - Cortez Gold, 99.5% rust free, unrestored. Very difficult to find in such original and unmolested condition. Originally sold in Wisconsin but spent most of its life in Texas until I got it a few years ago.

Black top is useable if you get caught in rain but has a couple tears/repairs; I only drive it with the top down so haven't gotten around to replacing it. Original sheetmetal in great condition. No visible rust through but there are a couple bubbles that may come through if ground down. No bondo or evidence of prior rust repair. Solid trunk and rockers. No rot in rear quarter panel where it meets the trunk; very nice there on both sides. Floor pans look great too, with only a couple very small spots on rear floor pans in the center that are questionable and may need repair if poked.

Interior is original and in great condition with everything being nice and pliable. Dash has no cracks. Chrome on dash bezels is excellent. Correct AM/FM radio works. Power top operates very well; nice and smooth. Everything works but not sure of windshield washer as I never tried it. No power windows or AC to weigh the car down or dump time and money into fixing.

Very unmolested except 1 old repaint. Paint is driver quality with plenty of blemishes like scratches and discoloration spots (paint scraped along driver side wheel opening is biggest) but looks nice from 10 feet and plenty presentable to cruise in as it is. Original top boot in similar condition to interior and fits well. Rear bumper has an amateur repair at the very bottom (difficult to see) and some thin spots but still good driver quality. The rest of the chrome is original and very good (some pits in headlight bezels) except for a couple emblems that have been replaced. Grille is aftermarket replacement.

Numbers matching engine. New Gardner exhaust except back pipes replaced with ones from Waldron because I added an N25 rear bumper. Original interior very nice. New brake lines. Brakes are great (drum in front). 2 year old Red Line radials. Correct original wheels in outstanding condition with new, correct center caps.
