All original maintenance records and reciepts back to 1976 included! This 1976 BMW 2002 was originally Sienna Brown Metallic but was repainted Malaga Red in the late 1980s. It comes equipped with a factory sunroof, factory A/C, automatic. This is a cherished survivor that has been impeccably maintained by the same extended family for over 40 years. Numbers matching engine, transmission, differential and chassis. Original rear window glass, original rear passenger and driver-side vent, door and side-window glass. Brand new Rota 15” wheels riding on brand new Yokohama tires with less than 200 miles on them. Has never been in an accident and spent it’s life in dry New Mexico, West Texas and Arizona so entire undercarriage is devoid of any rust, rocker panels and drip rails are free of rust as well. Only small passenger front fender lower spot had paint that was bubbleing so that 1” x 1” section was repaired and sealed. Original motor and transmission has mileage of 129,937 on original working speedometer, tachometer and odometer. Vehicle starts perfectly! Shifts amazing! Clean Arizona title with “actual mileage” appropriately marked. Passed strict Arizona emissions testing with flying colors just a few months ago. Drives excellent at highway speeds and around down. CONSTANT SMILES AND WAVES when you cruise around town.

2025 complete mechanical restoration. New front and rear brakes. New brake lines. New fuel lines, fuel filters and fuel tank flush. New front main engine seals and timing chain. New radiator. New transmission cooler. New alternator. Engine, transmission, differential, brake fluid and coolant change performed this year. New carb, new spark plugs and plug wires and distributor. New battery. Valve adjustment completed. All new original BMW saddle colored vinyl upholstery installed this year. Original factory A/C compressor kicks right in when turned on but it does not blow cold. Would need a original R12 freon recharge and my mechanic in Arizona will not recharge old R12 systems. Paint is definitely in a “patina” category and would benefit from a professional polish and clearcoat. All my efforts have been to simply preserve the vehicle’s original body work and keep this as a no-rust time capsule!!!
