I am listing this for my brother-in-law. He purchased this car around June 2012, and drove it some in the first year of ownership. The inspection expired in June 2013. The car has been at my niece's house in the garage for about 8 years, with the last 18 months outside in driveway, under a car cover.
The current odo reading is 216946. The crankshaft turns with a wrench. This looks like a complete car, with exception of a missing front spoiler, and the glove box release handle is snapped off; please look at the pictures to confirm vehicle condition and completeness. Restore it, or part it out; engine, transmission, wheels, drive train, suspension, etc.
I do not have a key......according to the web, a locksmith could impression a new key from the door lock; the driver's door and trunk are unlocked. Notwithstanding, the car is parked nose out in a "straight to the street" driveway, for easy loading.
The car has a rust thru hole near the passenger side wiper arm; this is the only hole I see. The rest of the car looks relatively rust free. The folded over seams of the door bottom, trunk lid, and hood lid show no significant rust. The car sides look surprisingly straight, and the wheels look good as well.
The hood’s exterior paint is shot, yet the underside of the hood looks very good.
The interior is rough. The cabriolet top had some leaks, and there is evidence of moisture exposure. The seats’ upholstery is hard, and is probably very brittle. The seat mountings, tracks, and hardware are corroded.
