BMW 635CSi 1985 6-Series e-24 e24 E-24 E24 Big Coupe Sixer

Vehicle Description
1985 BMW e24 635CSis. TWO CARS ARE INCLUDED IN THIS SALE:One car is a solid driver with effectively no rust. See the photos of the rockers and the wheel wells; there is no rust in the usual places. There is a very small rust hole in the right tail light surround, and a small spot of surface rust in the left tail light surround. There is also some rust on the bottom of the passenger door. Everywhere else, nada rust. I do have lots of photos of the underside and I'll be glad to send them out to whatever extend the eBay overseers will allow. The car drives well, is showing only 104,000 miles (TMU), and has a manual five-speed transmission. Has fresh brake pads all around but the front rotors appear to be overly thin. Paint is shot as it is on just about all of these cars; color name is Diamondschwartz metallic. This car is a prime candidate for a full restoration or a restomod upgrade. One could also just address the small functional issues and keep it as a near rust-free driver. This car is so solid that it needs next to no body remediation. The shell is very, very solid. The interior is also in decent condition for a driver but would, of course, need to be gone through as part of a full restoration if that's the goal. The seats present well in the photos but have definitely suffered some seam separation.Recent work done to the car includes: Removed and cleaned fuel tank, painted exterior of fuel tank with POR15, replaced fuel lift pump inside of tank, replaced main fuel pump with new Bosch unit from FCP, replaced fuel filter, and replaced fuel hoses at rear of car. Did oil change after running engine for about half an hour with LiquiMoly engine flush. New oil is LiquiMoly 10w40. Flushed cooling system, drained and filled with new anti-freeze and distilled water. Tested thermostat, okay. Valves adjusted, oil sprayer bar banjo bolts removed, male and female threads cleaned, reinstalled with Loctite, torqued to spec.Compression test results are: #1@157; #2@156; #3@161; #4@163; #5@159, #6@163 psi.Starts instantly, runs well, and drives nicely. Has good clutch feel and engagement. Steers, rides, and handles nicely.Items that I tested: Item Description Works? This second car is also a 1985 635CSi e-24 five speed. This parts car is non-metallic black with a white (presumably Parchment) interior, and does have the typical rust one sees on these things here in the northeast. This parts car is fully intact and has not been cannabilised for parts. Yet..... The dash in this parts car has only one crack, the windshield is intact, and all of the switchgear and related items are in place. While the seat covers are shabby, the motors mostly work. The motors do hum when encountering a seat function that will not move, so I think the wiring and switches are fine. Just some mechanical binding that needs freeing up. Engine transmission and the rest of the five-speed drivetrain are intact. Thus car has about 200k on it.If you have managed to read this far, you know what these cars are and the opportunity this sale presents. Again, this sale is for the two cars as a package. I am not willing to separate them until at least after the auction ends. Additionally, I do know the value of the parts if I were to part the second car out. If there are no takers on the two cars, I will relist the better car on its own and part the rusted car out myself. The listing itself:The better car is sold with a bill of sale from the last registered owner, a Connecticut resident when I purchased these cars. As Connecticut no longer issues titles for cars over twenty model years old, this is all that anyone in any state should need to register this car. I am happy to help if there are any forms your state's DMV requires. I recently sold an e32 735i on Bring A Trailer; the buyer's state required a notarized bill of sale from me. Happy to, no problem. Please, do your own research to determine your state's requirements. I do not have an administrative assistant, and I am not interested in becoming yours. The second car is sold solely with a bill of sale from me to the buyer; this is why it is being sold as a parts car. If you think you can resurrect it and register it, you are on your own.I realize that my BIN price may be a bit optimistic; I will appreciate and consider any serious offers. If you are going to make a lowball parasite offer, please at least make it humorous. It won't affect my rejection of your offer, but you might as well provide me with some amusement. You are welcome and encouraged to inspect these cars before the end of the listing. You are welcome to bring your mechanic or send him or her solo.I require the $500.00 deposit immediately upon acceptance of an offer. The balance may be paid with cash at time of pickup. If the buyer is having the cars transported and will not be present to pay with cash, a bank-to-bank wire transfer is required. Funds must land in my account before either car leaves my possession.IF YOU PAY THE FULL AMOUNT THROUGH EBAY I WILL REJECT IT AND IT WILL BE RETURNED TO YOU.I do not accept checks, certified checks, bank checks, goats, chickens, or stray children as payment. And neither should you. Please ask any questions you like and I will answer as promptly as I possibly can. The goal here is to wind up with these two cars going to a good home; someone that has the time and financial resources to return the better car to her original glory, or better. Yes, I expect (and need) to maximize my sale price, but squeezing the last buck out of this sale is less important to me than the goal stated above.
