1988 BMW M5Well sorted with nice subtle mods in excellent condition...Gorgeous Schwarz black metallic over mint natural tan leather interior.Extremly rare car and hand built one of only 1,340 for the US market of E28 chassis imported in 1988.The S38B35 iis a nline-six with 256-horsepower, 24-valve inline six mated to a 5 speed manual gear box. This car has undergone extensive maintenance to the tune of $80k. The idea behind this was to basically have a car ready for anything up to and including daily driving. The engine was rebuilt with Mahle Pistons,Vac Rod Bearings and ARP Headbolts at 159k miles by Coast Motor Werk in California. In addition to the motor the transmission was serviced and then fitted with new trans mounts. The differential was resealed. The ECU was cleaned up and rebuilt.Florida & California car with clean car history, no accidents, matching Vin numbers decals on all original body panels. Paint looks very nice with a mirror like finish and fresh full body paint correction to remove all swirls.Body in excellent condition,very solid structure and clean chassis. Over $3k was spent on weather New Old Stock weather stripping and seals throughout.Just 5k miles ago the suspension was fully refreshed with new Bilstein Shocks all the way around. The pesky rear leveling system was removed. The whole car recieved new upper and lower control arms with all new OEM bushings. Installed now are upgraded Sway bars and a BREMBO BIG BRAKE KIT up front. Power steering rack was rebuilt and a new power steering pump and hoses were installed. The a new all wheel alignment was performed. Wheels are BBS style 5 in great condition with little to no curb rash and are wrapped in newer continental tires with photos of date codes. Binder of records and over $22,000 in receipts/ maintenance from prior owners. Under its latest owner over $80k was invested. In other words there is over $100k invested in this car.The interior is finished in Natural leather, and the front seats have been refurbished and recovered in leather .All other interior finishes are original and in good condition. Car has ICE COLD AIR CONDITIONING!! A new bluetooth stereo has been installed and works nicely along with all new ALPINE speakers all around. Power antenna is still fully functional. The car has all original glass and all 4 windows work as they should. The sunroof cassette was just redone so it is good to go for many years to come. The dash is crack free and not warped.Our M5 runs amazing, engine pulls hard, and sounds great.
