Classic Roadsters' story was it was modeled after one of the very cars that the Healey brothers brought to race at the 12 hours of Sebring in the early 60s. Company legend is that they pounded the fenders out with a hammer to accommodate the wider wheels and tires. Then, with a chisel, they cut in the louvers in the hood to mitigate overheating. That is where the styling differences derived from the factory Austin Healy 3000 Classic Roadsters claim was, paired with a small block engine, it would stick and pull over 1.1 lateral G’s while cornering. Id take that at face value. but who knows? The previous owner weighed the car a few years ago, and with a full tank of fuel, it was around 2200 lbs. Wipers not working. Miles on odometer 15,172.
