Vehicle Description

Please contact me for an in-person inspection. You will love this car.The AMC Classic 770 convertible is rare. Less than 5,000 of these 1965 models were made, and less than 2,000 of the similar 1966 model. Even more rare are the V8 models.I purchased from the estate of a car collector in Virginia. His wife told me that he had restored the car for her to enjoy.I have other projects and have not worked on this car at all.Car has been in storage for a few years and brakes and fuel system need basic mechanical attention before this 60's collectible is ready to cruise. That's normal.287 cubic inch V8. Engine starts and runs.Original 2 bbl Holley carburetor.Probably should be rebuilt.3 speed automatic transmission.Nice paint, nice interior, shiny chrome, nice convertible top, solid floor pans, sold trunk pan.Power top goes up and down but is sluggish. I did not check the hydraulic fluid. Both rear manual windows need assistance for up & down.Original fuel tank has a built-in drain.Manual brakes.Power steering.Older tires.NO RUST anywhere that I can find. Come and see for yourself.Clear South Carolina title in my name shows 89,662 ACTUAL MILES.Please contact me and I will provide directions for an in-person inspection.Additional pictures are available. Just ask.Located in Lake Wylie (Clover), SC 29710 which is a suburb of Charlotte, NC.Convenient to both I-85 and I-77.
