Vehicle Description

1970 AMC AMX 2 seater. One of 4,116 produced, 1 of 747 built with 360 V8 / 4 speed transmission. Non go pack car, NON RAM AIR HOOD. The 360 was rebuilt a few years back with approximately 5,000 miles on it. The 360 (bored 30 over) runs strong, has AVS2 four barrel carburetor with headers. (Air pump and factory exhaust manifolds in trunk see pics). It has a T-10 four speed and Hurst shifter. Shifts as it should. Has manual drum brakes with power steering. Exterior color is Glen Green,(per door tag) interior is black. New Legendary seat covers (Black) with new molded foam. New carpet. New rear leaf springs. New brake lines & fuel line. Car was painted in my garage and not professionally done. This is my ninth AMX since 1977 and this one is probably the most solid one. Floors pans are solid. I had a body shop install lower trunk extensions and both rear lower quarter panels. The windows go up and down better then any AMX I have had. Like new tires.Has the correct engine tag on the front right valve cover (P code). The engine block stamp (3195528) is correct for 1970. Please see pictures. The bad / it needs a new headliner, offered by AMC vendors And the paint on the lower right quarter between the rear wheel and the door is off. Not a show car but a nice fun driver. The chrome rings on the non-functional hood scoop need to be replaced. AMC vendors do offer nice reproduction ones. This car is like something I drove in the late 70's early 80's.Deposit of $500.00 (non-refundable) within 24 hours of auction end and full payment prior to pickup.
