1973 AMC Matador 'Z' code (401) V8 Police Package with less than 30,000 original miles. Stored inside since new. Police service history (if any) is unknown. A/C system refurbished with new compressor & lines, blows cold air, new brake cylinders, shoes & lines, new radiator, new G78X15 tires on 3 powder coated 'H' code wheels (2 H code wheels are MIA), 4th wheel is from Coker Tire. Hidden electronic ignition. New water pump & alternator with 100 AMP output. Registered with its original CA 'blue' plates. Car drives like new, interior is like new, runs like a rocket ship!!!
These cars are hard to find even in a civilian version let alone a '401' with less than 30K miles.
The side molding is missing and the right side muffler (original 73 date stamp) has a hole. I was going to paint it black & white so I have the hard to find chrome C pillar trim.
The manual steering is great, handling is fantastic, it's no wonder the LAPD loved these cars.
