Car was taken off the road in the 1990's for rust repair and new paint. The car was taken out of storage in the last year and all systems repaired or rebuilt as summarized below:
oNew Douglas M+S 185/70R14 All Season tires
oNew 650 CCA battery
oRebuilt cranking motor and solenoid (starter)
oFuel supply system:
§New Bosch electric fuel supply pump
§New rear in-line fuel filter
§All new rubber fuel line hoses
§New front main fuel filter
oIgnition System:
§Replaced both sets of distributor contact points and set ignition timing
§Replaced hi-tension ignition wires and spark plugs
oFuel Injection system:
§Replaced Injection pump oil filter
§Rebuilt Oil Vapor Separator
§Checked function of Thermostatic Actuator (T/A)
§Replaced idle air hoses and idle adjustment O-ring
§Setup the Spica system via Wes Ingram’s Manual for ALFA SPICA Fuel Injection
oBrakes:
§Rebuilt master cylinder, booster and front and rear calipers
§Replaced front and rear brake pads
§De-rusted front and rear brake discs
§lubed parking brake cables
oClutch:
§Rebuilt primary cylinder
§Replaced secondary cylinder
oEngine maintenance:
§Oil and filter changed after engine flush
§Replaced air filters
§Replaced coolant
§Checked valve tappet clearance and re-tensioned cam chain
oChassis:
§Serviced differential, gear box, steering box and drive shaft slip yoke
·Deficiencies:
oCracked windshield (passenger side)
oAir conditioning not working (R-12 refrigerant)
oIntermittent fuel gage
oDent in driver’s door (does not affect function)
oAir pump and plumbing available, but not installed
