Vehicle Details
You are dreaming about a 1988 Acura Integra!
The 1st generation of the car that launched the Acura brand. But this car was so much more than just the launch of a brand it was a statement. With a fast reving 1.6L DOHC in a very light car this was an absolute joy to drive!
And this one is too!
This is an LS, 2door hatchback, 5 speed manual.
It needs some love, hence the reason its not $9000 (the current Bring a Trailer selling price).
The list:
Under the hood it’ll need a clutch, and it does have an oil leak, which I believe is coming from the oil filter. My plan was to look at that at the same time that I dealt with the clutch.
The body, yes there are rust issues, it’s a 37 Japanese car. It’s going to take some love, but all of it is fixable. I have replacement hood, and both door thar were ordered from a yard in Arizona. I also have an extra set of pop up lights (oh yeah it has pop up lights!)
There aren’t many of these left, and there definitely aren’t any that you’ll get for this price.
So whether you’re thinking of restoring it, or dropping a v-tech under the hood and turning it into a rocketship - this is definitely a car you can have fun with.
Time to stop dreaming, this is a dream you can put in your garage today!
